Brothers!

These two boys of mine are so funny! One moment they're best buds and the next they're arguing about what Luke Skywalker and his crew should do to defeat the enemy they're fighting at the moment. This day they both wanted to show of their new haircuts--mohawks! What fun they had getting their hair spiked with gel and then deciding how to pose and where they wanted to be for the pictures. I pray they will continue to be allies in the future and build each other up.

Changes

Oh, the changes happening all around! This week Kaity spent the week away at Seneca Hills Bible Camp. She loved the week and we missed her greatly! She came home a little more independent, and yet a little more soft spoken and willing, even eager to help! She's growing so fast! I was just thinking today that when Alliyah is Kaity's age, Kaity will be 18!!! UGH! Where has the time gone? Lord help me to be the best mother to her,and all my children, through the time I have left to influence her! (and the rest of them)Here is Kaity with her counselors at the end of the week.

I went back to work on Saturday, so that was a big change too. I was back to the same job, but missing my little 9 week old at home and trying to juggle pumping and still being a good nurse and co worker too! Meanwhile, Frank's doing the "Mr.Mom" thing again, only with one more little one to care for. Thankfully, Alliyah was very good for him. And Kaity was a big help. Thanks to you who were praying for us! : )

And for the last change...I cut my hair!! ( Like the before and after pictures?) And for those of you who are wondering...yes, I donated it to Locks of Love! : )

Here's a treat...Alliyah!

Photo Session

For those of you who are thinking "Wow, she's posted a lot of blogs in the last 24 hours" well, you have to understand how many pictures I have and how many I want to share! : )

We spent one afternoon and evening at Grandma and Papa Chuck's house. Elli decided she wanted her picture taken. Since she hasn't had any professional pictures taken for a year and a half, I obliged her with a photo session! (Not that I wouldn't have anyway... ; ))Here are just a few of the cute poses I got! ENJOY!
Then the boys wanted to get in on the act...

July Jontings

July has been another busy month! Nathaniel has shown his creative juices are flowing! This is his airplane he designed and made all by himself (with just a little help from Daddy for the finishing touches.) Here he's giving Elli and Kaity a ride on the plane's first flight! Go imagination, GO! Since then he's been thinking of how to improve his design.

Zach has been busy every week this summer until this one! One of the activities he got to do was to go to Seneca Hills Bible Conference for Primary camp. (Thanks Grandma and Papa C.) He stayed overnight 2 nights. It was a big step for him. He had a great time with some friends from church and making new ones! This is a picture of him with his counselors.

Our next activity was a trip to the beach! Lake Erie! Presque Isle was beautiful that day, despite looking like it was going to rain the whole way there! The kids had a great time and we didn't even bring too much sand back with us. Here are Frank, Kaity, Elli, Austin, Annie, Zach, Thaniel Jeff, Mandy and Caeden. Missing from the picture: Samuel, Alliyah, Grandma & Papa Corbett and the photographer. (gee, darn!)

Another of Zach's activities was Cub Scout Day Camp in Transfer, PA. He went with a couple of friends from his pack each day and got to do lots of fun things like archery, shooting b-b guns, and discovering lots of things about dinosaurs. Frank went with him the last two days and also had a lot of fun! Especially "WATER WARS" the last day. Nathaniel got to go for that too! Here are Zach, Tanner and Clark.

Kaity and Elli were invited to a "Grand Tea Party" at Grandma Corbett's house with their dolls. They had a lot of fun dressing up in their pretty gowns, wearing gloves and learning a little about proper manners for a tea party. Although I'm not sure any of the little girls tried hot tea...iced tea, yes, but not hot tea! Little ladies in the picture: Libby, Christina, Elliana, Annie, Kaitlyn and Abigail.

June Happenings

June was a very busy month for us! We have a bunch of birthdays in the family and the first week of June was the last week of school. Here are a few pictures from our month. The first is at Four Star Pizza. We had a family outing one night and took a walk to downtown Grove City. They have a Chuck E Cheese-like set up at Four Star where you play games for tickets and then get prizes. The kids had a blast, but to tell you the truth, a trip to the dollar store would have been cheaper for the prizes they got! And I have to say God held the rain 'til we walked home and were safe and sound. The storm that came within 15 minutes of us getting home was a wicked one!
The next picture is one of the "VanZandt cousins." Dessarae, our niece, was home briefly from North Carolina where she is stationed in the Marine Corps. So we had to take the opportunity for a picture!
The next day was the beginning of VBS at our church. The picture is of Nathaniel holding the prize he earned for saying verses.(Thanks, Aunt Mandy, for the cool tie-dyed shirts!) All the kids did very well that week learning Bible verses. I was so impressed!
Then three days later we had the girls dance recital. Kaity performed in ballet and acrobats. Elli's dance number was to "Animal Crackers" with a little bit of tap dancing thrown in! They did such a good job! After the recital we took a trip to Erie to go to a wedding reception for my cousin Sarah and her new husband, Joe. It was absolutely beautiful! What a witness their lives have been for others to see how to be a godly couple. May God continue to bless them and their marriage!

Our newest little sweetie!

Here is Alliyah Mae...she's 7 weeks old in this picture...but 2 mos. old today! She's such a sweet addition to our family!

Welcome to the wonderful world of blogging!

Here we are minus our latest addition born in May. I am new to this blogging thing...writing them, not reading them! I love to read blogs to stay up-to-date with people! Hopefully I will be able to post fairly regularly. I am going back to work from maternity leave in a couple days. :( I will also post pictures of the newest addition! This will be my best effort to keep those of you who want to be up to date with the happenings in our family. For those of you who have blogs that I read regularly...blog on!
