Annie's *7*!!! This post is a little late, but I still wanted to celebrate Annie! Her birthday party was a week ago. I couldn't be there because I had to work, but Frank and the kids went and even managed to take a few pictures! Happy Birthday, sweet Annie! : )

New Beginnings
Zach got a really neat present from Grandma and Papa Corbett for his birthday...
2 caterpillars that change into Monarch butterflies. Over the last few weeks we've watched those caterpillars eat their milkweed leaves and crawl around, then finally about 10 days ago they made their chrysalis' after they hung upside-down for about a day and formed their "J" shape. Yesterday morning we noticed a change in one of them...it was all black. At first we feared the worst, but just a few hours later, a beautiful Monarch butterfly was hanging on the red mesh beside what was left of it's chrysalis. Zach remembered from school that it's wings needed to dry before it could fly. So a couple hours later, the kids released the butterfly. Now today the second chrysalis is black, but you can faintly see the wings of the butterfly inside. Tomorrow morning the butterfly will probably emerge. What an awesome reminder of new life in Christ...He takes our old self ,changes us, and gives us new life just like a beautiful butterfly.
In this picture you can see the shell of the chrysalis, the green chrysalis of the other caterpillar and the beautiful Monarch butterfly.

Just some recent pictures of the kids
Quiet time
Zach got a couple of cool games for his birthday, so for "quiet time" we tried this one out. It's called "Rivers, Rails and Roads." It's a neat game that even Elli can play where you have to match the river, railroad or road on the card to the next. Cards have different combinations of these 3 things and some start or stop or turn one or more of the 3. The kids had a lot of fun with it! We've also been enjoying walks to the library for books to read and movies to watch (it's free...why not?) It's good exercise, gets us some sunshine and you can't beat the price. : ) We've been trying to make the most of our free time now that school will be starting in less than 2 weeks! Where did the summer go?

Growing!
Zach's *8*!!!!
And he's growing so fast! Where has the time gone? How could he be big enough to help take care of his baby sister? Zach, a third grader? That sounds so old!
We celebrated Zach's birthday with a trip to the park for some Dairy Queen cake with some friends and family.

Zach's friend, Joseph was able to join us and Zach was so glad!!

Personality
Alliyah is growing and growing! Her doctor's appointment went well Thursday. She weighs in at 12 lbs and is 23 1/2 inches long! I was very impressed until I looked everyone else's stats up from 2 months old...she's almost last! Only Elli weighed less...11lb. 5 oz.
It's funny how her little personality is starting to emerge. She's not a 'binky baby' like the rest of the kids have been. She' d rather suck on her thumb or fingers...and it's soooooo cute!
Here's a big smile! ; ) They're coming more and more these days! What a delight!!!
She was so pretty in her pink dress! After church I just had to take a few pictures ; ).
Can you see the eyebrows in this picture? I think we'll be seeing more of that in the future!
